Welcome Address by Dr David Ang, Board Chair of CaringSG, at CaringSG Family Day

Dear Caregivers and Families, Partners, and Friends of CaringSG,

Good morning! It’s wonderful to see all of you here today. As I look around, I see not just faces, but people full of strength, love, and dedication to our families.

Today is a day for all of us to come together, to celebrate each other, and to remind ourselves that in this journey, we are never alone.

First, a heartfelt thank you to all the caregivers here. I know that the caregiving path is not always easy, and it takes so much of your heart, energy, and time.

You are the heroes behind the scenes, and today is all about recognizing everything you do for your loved ones. This day is for you—to learn, connect, and find resources and inspiration for the road ahead.

We understand that caregiving can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially with the mental and financial challenges that come with it.

That’s why, from now until 2025, CaringSG be focusing on providing you more support for mental health and financial resilience—whether it’s self-care, planning for the future, exploring career options, or simply ensuring you have someone to talk to when things get tough.

We’re here for you, every step of the way.

Our Uplift Campaign is another important initiative that we’re launching today.

This campaign is designed to sustain and grow our key caregiver programmes—CAREconnect, CAREbuddy, CAREwell, and Step One

These programmes offer the support you need, whether through a listening ear, practical help, or connecting you to inclusive resources and events for quality time with family.

To keep these programmes available for caregivers, your support is crucial. If you have a moment today, please visit our CaringSG booth outside the hall. There, you can learn more about our programmes, the Uplift Campaign and how every contribution can make a difference.

As we spend the day together, let’s share our stories, uplift one another, and remember that we are a community. You are not just caregivers; you are part of the CaringSG family. Thank you for being here, and I hope you enjoy every moment of our Family Day.
