What an Incredible Day at Purple Parade 2025! 💜

Our Blog

On 25th October 2025, Singapore came together for a truly inspiring celebration of unity and inclusion at Purple Parade 2025—the nation’s largest movement supporting persons with various physical and invisible disabilities.

Held in conjunction with SG60, this year’s event attracted over 15,000 participants and 280 organisations at Suntec City, Fountain of Wealth, testament to how highly anticipated the signature event was by persons with disabilities, caregivers, volunteers and everyone who wanted to create this social impact. A special highlight was having Prime Minister Lawrence Wong grace the event, adding even more significance to this vibrant display of support and solidarity.

Raising donations for Purple Parade

At this year’s Purple Parade, CaringSG proudly took part in the “Shop” section of the carnival. Our stall was brought to life with eye-catching visual displays featuring handmade crochet bags, plushie keychains, friendship bands, and more—each item completely unique, crafted with patience and love by three incredibly talented artists: Jane Hoo, Mdm Wee, and Hana Huang.

Hana, a young teen with special needs, truly stood out as an inspiring contributor, showing that creativity knows no boundaries. The items were generously donated to CaringSG by these three artists, who wanted nothing more than to raise funds for our beneficiaries.

Visitors flocked to our stall, and the “business” was brisk! Many delighted in the joyful shopping experience, with our CaringSG volunteers and staff on hand to guide and assist them, making it a memorable and interactive experience for everyone.

Cosventure and BlackRock Volunteers Brought Smiles to Families

For the first time ever, 8 different superheroes graced our CaringSG booth! This was our first collaboration with Cosventure, a cosplayer group dedicated to participating in socially meaningful events to bring smiles, joy, and surprise to everyone.

Supported by BlackRock corporate volunteers, every family who came by—shy and hesitant at first—was won over by the superheroes’ enthusiasm and encouragement to snap photos with delighted family members.

Through these interactions, our volunteers shared CaringSG’s mission to empower caregivers who care for special needs dependents.

CaringSG’s Contingent March with Families and Volunteers

Beyond the carnival, CaringSG proudly joined the contingent march with our 130 strong team comprising of CaringSG staff, CaringSG caregiver members, together with our esteemed volunteers.

Our volunteer groups included:

– CAREkakis (grassroots leaders and volunteers) and their constituencies

– CaringSG Alliance Network (our support group network) representatives who are caregivers themselves

– Caregiver volunteers CAREbuddies and CAREchampions

– Corporate partners and CAREambassadors (corporate volunteers),

All who wanted to demonstrate their commitment in person.

Clad in all shades of purple, we all cheered and marched down Suntec City with our banners and motivational placards held high!

A Big Thank You to our Volunteers, Staff and Supporters!

Without our amazing CaringSG volunteers and their invaluable help for our staff, the event would not have been a roaring success. Based on our estimated figures, we reached out to over 1,000 special needs individuals and caregivers!

We were also absolutely thrilled that our Board of Advisors and Directors came to support Purple Parade and show their solidarity with the community.

Everyone’s contributions made a huge difference—whether assisting with merchandise sales, helping with brand outreach, managing the crowd around our cosplayer superheroes, or marching proudly as part of our contingent.

Their tireless efforts amplified the impact of our presence and allowed CaringSG’s mission of “Every caregiver, well and empowered” shine even brighter.
