What an Incredible Day at Purple Parade 2025! đź’ś
On 25th October 2025, Singapore came together for a truly inspiring celebration of unity and inclusion at Purple Parade 2025.
On 31st August 2025, a total of 56 CaringSG members — caregivers and their loved ones with physical, intellectual, and neurological impairments — came together at NTUC Club’s multipurpose hall, Singpost Centre to celebrate the last day of August with a BIG Sports and Wellness Bang!
From the moment families arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. Familiar members exchanged warm hugs, while new faces quickly struck up conversations, setting the tone for a fun-filled day of sports, wellness, food, and connection.
The energy kicked off with sports led by Kazakhstan-German trainer Mr. Andrei Dueck, who brought with him not just games, but also a strong message:
“What makes a good sportsman, regardless of how physically able you are?”
Participants set personal goals before jumping into the action. From obstacle challenges that required coordination and precision to floor stretches that eased sore muscles, everyone gave their best. Quick-thinking cognitive games added a surprising twist, and many caregivers were delighted to see how quickly their loved ones adapted and shone.
The session peaked with fitboxing drills, echoing with cheers and war chants. The hall was electrified, creating an adrenaline-charged atmosphere where joy and resilience shone through.
After a hearty buffet lunch, members split into parallel workshops.
🌸 For caregivers:
Trainer Ms Julia Chan, author of the Healing Journal, guided caregivers through exercises on identifying their neglected needs, understanding their emotions and triggers, building their emotional toolkit, and writing notes of encouragement to themselves.
🎨 For dependents:
Children and adults enjoyed the “Frame Your Love” craft activity, decorating photo frames, colouring, and sharing air clay doughs. The room filled with laughter and chatter as new friendships blossomed.
As the day drew to a close, each participant received our limited-edition foldable bag “Glowie.” With its design of a radiant sun embracing a cloud, Glowie symbolises CaringSG’s promise to be the rays of warmth and tenderness shining into the sometimes-gloomy journey of caregiving.
The heartfelt feedback from participants made all the effort worthwhile:
💬 “Great job by CaringSG team to let caregivers and children stay active together!”
💬 “Thanks for organising the event! Lots of self-care tips and activities with children to practice in my life.”
💬 “Thank you CaringSG staff and volunteers for making the event a successful one. We had a short respite.”
💬 “I especially appreciated the extra efforts to engage us beforehand — providing a video to share with our children, answering all our questions patiently, and ensuring the day was stress-free. We truly appreciate it!!”
A BIG THANK YOU to our partners:
🤝 Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC)
🤝 Edwards Lifesciences Foundation
Your generosity and dedication gave our caregivers and families a day full of smiles, joy, and renewed confidence.
Our appreciation also goes out to CaringSG staff, interns, and volunteers for your hard work and warmth — and most importantly, to our caregivers, for sharing your stories, your time, and your smiles with us.
Together, we ended August not just with a bang, but with stronger bonds, fuller hearts, and brighter hope. 🌟

Teaching children about sexuality and healthy relationships is never an easy task, and for parents of children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the challenges can feel even more overwhelming. To support caregivers on this journey, CaringSG recently hosted a webinar featuring expert insights and heartfelt sharing from both a professional and a parent, offering practical guidance, reassurance, and hope.

On 11 August 2025, 62 participants — including caregivers, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and their family members and loved ones, volunteers and CaringSG team — came together for a memorable SG60 celebration at Bird Paradise, Mandai.

On 3 August 2025, CaringSG proudly joined the nation in commemorating Singapore’s 60th birthday at the National Day Istana Open House (NDIOH).

On 12 July 2025, CaringSG celebrated Volunteer Appreciation Day with heartfelt gratitude and joy. Marking five years of empowering caregivers, the event honoured the volunteers who have been the heart of our mission. From touching performances and meaningful awards to laughter, cake, and connection — it was a celebration of care in its truest form.
