On 12 May 2024, CaringSG and the Singapore Paddle Club organised an inclusive event at Ola Beach Club, Sentosa — the Paddle & Clean Fest.

This exciting day brought together 19 caregivers and their family members, along with 8 dedicated volunteers from the Singapore Paddle Club and 3 CaringSG staff, for an event that combined outdoor fun with environmental consciousness.

The Paddle & Clean Fest wasn’t just about paddling; it was an opportunity for family bonding and inclusivity. Families worked together to carry the boats to sea and paddle in unison along Siloso Beach, competing in mini races and coasting under a large fountain!

What made this event even more special was the way it embraced individuals of all abilities — paddling could be adapted to suit different needs. The amazing volunteers taught caregivers and their family members the art of paddling and how to have a good, safe journey at sea.

This event is part of CaringSG’s CAREconnect programme, which provides opportunities for families to connect, engage and be empowered via inclusive, purposeful activities.
