Why CAREconnect?
CAREconnect goes beyond just offering services. It’s a community movement because it aims to build a network of support for caregivers within their local neighborhoods.
We partner with local grassroots organizations for several reasons:
1. Local Knowledge: These organizations have a deep understanding of the specific needs and challenges faced by caregivers in their communities.
2. Accessibility: Grassroots organizations are often trusted and easily accessible within their communities, making it easier for caregivers to connect with the program.
3. Enhanced Outreach: By partnering with them, we can reach a wider range of caregivers who might not otherwise be aware of CAREconnect.
How CAREconnect Events Work
CAREconnect offers a variety of events to cater to different needs and preferences:
Informative online webinars: These provide valuable knowledge and resources on caregiving topics, accessible from the comfort of home.
Engaging physical events: Held in partnership with volunteers and grassroots organizations, these events offer opportunities for face-to-face interaction, social connection, and emotional support amongst caregivers.
By combining online and offline events with the deep community connections of volunteers and grassroots organizations, CAREconnect creates a comprehensive and accessible support system for caregivers.
